Nothing Is Small Until Its Compared; Be Patient With Yourself.

I recently started learning tech, and it’s been a bit slow for me. There’s a certain pace I wish I could maintain, i wanted to walk steadily, rather than crawl. But in trying to push myself too hard, I often become unkind to myself.

Why do we ever look at other people’s watches to time ourselves?

The other day, my friend and I were on our way out. We were standing at a junction, waiting for a bike to take us to our destination. Two other people arrived after us, and within seconds, they got a bike, while my friend and I had already been waiting for almost 25 minutes. Finally, we got a bike too.

As we rode, we eventually overtook those who had left before us. I pointed it out to my friend, saying, “Look at the people who left us behind—we’ve now passed them.” And she responded, “That’s how life is. Everything happens in its own time. It doesn’t matter who gets there first; just stay focused.”

I know there are many people like me, feeling as though they should be somewhere else by now or that there has to be more.

But be patient with yourself. Sometimes less is more!

With love,
